Where to Find It
- The Registration tab is located under User → Utilities in the BroadWorks web portal.
- It displays the status of SIP device registrations associated with a user account.
What It Shows
The registration section provides details about each device currently registered or attempting to register:

Device Information
- Device Name / Profile: The configured device type (e.g., Polycom VVX, Cisco MPP).
- MAC Address: Unique identifier for the device.
- Line/Extension: The user’s assigned line.

Registration Status Common statuses include:
- Registered: Device is successfully registered and active.
- Unregistered: Device is not currently registered (could be powered off or disconnected).
- Failed: Registration attempt failed (often due to incorrect credentials or network issues).
- Expired: Registration timed out and was not renewed.

Contact URI
- SIP URI used by the device to register (e.g.,
sip:username@domain).

IP Address
- The IP address from which the device registered.

User Agent
- Identifies the device firmware or softphone client.

Expires
- Shows the remaining time before the registration needs to be refreshed.

Last Registration Time
- Timestamp of the most recent successful registration.
Why It’s Useful
- Troubleshooting: Helps identify if a device is online and connected.
- Security: Detects unauthorized devices or unexpected IP addresses.
- Monitoring: Confirms that all endpoints for a user are active.
Typical Actions
- If a device shows Unregistered or Failed, check:
- SIP credentials (username/password).
- Network connectivity and firewall settings.
- Device provisioning status.
