The hardware token is a robust device, having a steel outer shell. Its low weight and size make it ideal for use on a key-ring or similar.

Software tokens can be deployed on both traditional PC’s, laptops etc. and also on smart-devices. Software tokens reduce the cost of ownership as they are easier to deploy and less likely to be lost.
