Overview
A Pickup Group allows users to answer calls ringing on another user’s phone within the same group. It’s commonly used in office environments where team members can assist each other in handling incoming calls.
🧩 Key Concepts
- Group Call Pickup: Answer any ringing call within the group.
- Directed Call Pickup: Answer a specific user’s ringing phone by dialing a code followed by their extension.
🛠️ Configuration Steps (Admin Portal)
- Log in to the BroadWorks admin portal.
- Navigate to:
Group > Services > Call Pickup Group
- Click Add to create a new group.
- Enter:
- Group Name
- Assign users to the group. (User can only be in 1 pickup group)
- Click Save.

- To pick up a call: Dial the Group Pickup code (

) - To pick up a specific user’s call: Dial Directed Pickup code (*97) + extension (e.g.,
*97 1234
) - Users will hear a tone and be connected to the ringing call.
