Restarting your phone is usually a safe and easy method to resolve functionality issues. However, you may want to consult your phone system administrator first to make sure the issues are not related to network problems or other external causes.

To restart the phone do one of the following:

  • Do one of the following:
    • Press and hold 0, 1, and 3 simultaneously on the dial pad for a few seconds until you hear a confirmation tone.
    • If not on the home view, press HOME.
    • Select SETTINGS and navigate to Basic>Restart Phone.
    • Press Yes when prompted with “Are you sure?”.
    • The restart procedure ends when the default Home screen loads.

If your phone is frozen and does not response to the above methods you can restart it simply by unplugging and replugging it (if the phone is powered by POE you would unplug the network cable.) It is still advisable you try to use the above methods whenever possible.
