Android Intelligence
Some Android devices include AI-powered features such as Samsung Galaxy AI or Google Gemini.
If enabled, these features can sometimes affect call handling, call screening, or voice assistant functionality.
Samsung Devices
- Open Settings.
- Select Galaxy AI or Advanced Features (depending on device model).
- Disable any AI-powered calling features that may interfere with normal call handling.
Google Pixel Devices
- Open Settings.
- Select Google.
- Tap All Services.
- Select Gemini (if available).
- Disable or adjust any call-related AI features as required.
Note: Menu options vary depending on Android version and device manufacturer.
Call Screening and Spam Protection
Many Android devices offer call screening and spam protection features that can automatically handle calls from unknown numbers.
These features may prevent Unity Extend calls from ringing normally.
Samsung Devices
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮).
- Select Settings.
- Tap Caller ID and Spam Protection.
- Disable spam filtering or caller screening features for testing.
Google Pixel Devices
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap Settings.
- Select Spam and Call Screen.
- Review the current Call Screen settings.
- Consider changing the setting to allow calls from unknown numbers.
Recommended Settings
Off
Unknown calls ring normally.
Screen Unknown Calls
Unknown callers may be screened before your phone rings.
Silence Unknown Callers
Unknown callers may be silenced and routed directly to voicemail.
Note: Call Screening settings can vary depending on country, network, and Android version.
Visual Voicemail
Some Android devices and mobile networks provide Visual Voicemail services.
Visual Voicemail may affect how missed calls and voicemail messages are handled.
Disable Visual Voicemail
Samsung
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap the three-dot menu (⋮).
- Select Settings.
- Open Voicemail.
- Disable Visual Voicemail, if available.
Google Pixel
- Open the Phone app.
- Tap Settings.
- Select Voicemail.
- Turn Visual Voicemail off.
Do Not Disturb
Do Not Disturb can prevent calls from ringing or displaying notifications.
Turn Off Do Not Disturb
Samsung Devices
- Open Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Tap Do Not Disturb.
- Ensure the feature is turned Off.
Google Pixel Devices
- Open Settings.
- Select Notifications.
- Tap Do Not Disturb.
- Turn Do Not Disturb Off.
Check Scheduled Rules
If Do Not Disturb keeps turning on automatically:
- Open Settings.
- Navigate to Notifications > Do Not Disturb.
- Select Schedules or Rules.
- Disable any active schedules.

Data Saver Settings
Android includes a Data Saver feature that can restrict background connectivity and impact service behaviour.
Check Data Saver

- Select Data Usage.

- Turn the feature Off.

- Open Settings.
- Tap Network & Internet.
- Select Data Saver.
- Turn the feature Off.
