Unity Extend allows you to transfer calls while you are on a live call. You can perform either a Blind (Unattended) Transfer or a Consultative (Attended) Transfer, depending on whether you want to speak to the destination first.
Blind Transfer (Unattended Transfer)
Use this option when you want to transfer the call without speaking to the destination.
Steps
- While on a live call, dial ##.
- The original caller is placed on hold and hears Music on Hold (MOH).
- Enter the full destination number or extension.
- Wait for ringback or answer.
- (Optional) Tap # to indicate end of dialling.
- End the call (hang up).
- The original caller is immediately connected to the destination.
Consultative Transfer (Attended Transfer)
Use this option when you want to speak to the destination before transferring the call.
Steps
- While on a live call, dial ##.
- The original caller is placed on hold.
- Enter the full destination number or extension.
- When the called party answers, consult with them.
- When ready to complete the transfer, end the call (hang up).
- The original caller is connected to the consulted party.
Important: In Unity, consultative transfers are completed by hanging up after the consultation.
